Skepticism Introduction

Skepticism is prevalent in this day and age. People are often skeptical about how honest others are, about the reliability of
political figures, and especially religious claims. This is skeptical posture true of the Christian faith too. In fact, skepticism is so
strong that many doubt that Jesus Christ could be the only Savior or that the Bible is a reliable source for knowing God.

While being skeptical can be a healthy investigative tactic it is not a good goal. Truth needs to be our goal and skepticism
can serve this when properly implemented. In fact, simply being skeptical is often counterproductive to quality thought.
Therefore, it is important to understand the skeptic mindset, discover its good and poor natures, and understand its limitations.
