|  |  | | Interest in atheism is on the rise primarily due to the influence of what is known as the New Atheism. This "New Atheism" refers to the aggressive approach of some atheists, primarily Dr. Richard Dawkins,Dr. Daniel Dennett, Dr. Victor Stenger, Christopher Hitchens, and Sam Harris.
While bringing little new philophical arguments to the table their atheism is new mainly in the sense of being aggressive and intentionally intolerant of religion. One of their goals is to wipe religion out. A benefit of the popularity of atheism is that it provides an opportunity for theists to showcase their views as wellas see just how robust and sound atheism is...or is not!
That being the case, this section will focus on atheism and address some key issues of this philosophy. More will be added as time allots.
